In addition to the immediate family, she will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law, Jan de Vries and his wife, Joan, niece Maggie de Vries (Roland), nephews Peter de Vries (Jennifer) and Mark de Vries, as well as by Patricia de Vries, all in British Columbia. Georgi was predeceased by her father, Lorne MacNab, in the Battle for Hong Kong, by her mother, Mary MacNab, her brother, Timothy, as well as by her little Kirsten – she and Pieter’s first daughter.

She was loving mother to Whitman III (Charlotte) of Holbrook, MA, Jeffrey (Barbara) of Braintree, MA, and Laurel of Mabou, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and beloved Nanna of Sophie (Michael) Jones of West Bridgewater Emma (Matthew) Cibere of Sandwich, MA, and Great-Nanna Ruby to Monroe. She would cut out of coffee hour early after church to get home in time for a Sunday, 1:00 p.m. She loved the ocean, her friends, her home, and the NE Patriots. An accomplished musician herself, and the mother of three musicians, Ruby was always singing: standards, pop, classical, and occasionally, rock and roll. She always looked forward to her bi-annual “Quilt-Away Weekends” with her friends. She was member and former board member of the North Parish Quilters Guild, Reading, MA, and the New England Quilt Museum, Lowell, MA. She was active in the Wakefield-Lynnfield (MA) United Methodist Church, as a founding member, choir member, and volunteer for countless charity projects, most recently “Project Linus.” She was accomplished in all forms of handwork, but her favourite, and the one in which she was the most prolific, was quilting. Mom was a meticulous and astute business person, who facilitated all aspects of her husband’s HR company. She celebrated her marriage to Whitman S. She was born in Dorchester, MA, on March 17th, 1929, to Florence Jenkins and Horace Brown. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Ruby Anna (Brown) Browne: On Sunday evening, October 10th, 2021, Ruby Anna Browne of Woburn, MA, passed away peacefully after a brief period of illness.
